Personal Message

Hello!  My name is Erin Reichert and I am in my 17th year of teaching overall, my 11th at Bluffton high school.  I have taught a variety of subjects in the social studies and have served the school as the AP coordinator for the past two years as well.  Currently I am teaching Honors US history, AP Seminar, Youth in Government, and AP Human Geography.  In the past, I have consistently taught AP US history, Sociology, and Government. My goal is provide engaging, creative, experiential, and relevant lessons each day.  My hope is provide a memorable and active social studies classroom experience for all of my students.

Personally, I have been married for 10 years and have three young daughters. I enjoy exercise, travel, history, reading, tennis, camping, and staying extremely active in the community.

In January, 2018, I was awarded the Milken Educator Award from the Milken Foundation, a national award given to one teacher in each state.  Throughout my teaching career, I have enjoyed the experiences and leadership gained through serving at the District Teacher of the Year, school level teacher of the year, and serving in various leadership capacities such as teacher mentoring, as an AP reader, and serving on teacher evaluation teams throughout the district.

Come see me in Room 2030 or contact me at 843-706-8047!
