Bluffton High School Extended Reading Information

Directions for College Prep English Students: We are supporting college prep students and their parents in making enjoyable choices for reading. Each nine weeks of the semester, the student will select a book of choice. The Young Adult Book Award List has been included to help guide students in this selection (see list below). Please note: Parents and guardians should assist their children in selecting books with appropriate content and language. We encourage students to read over the summer; however, they will not be assessed until the end of each nine weeks. Students will complete an assessment over the chosen book with their assigned English teacher near the end of each nine weeks of the semester.  Note: The books on the first list below are not required extended reading, but are suggested for college bound students.
