Advanced Placement

AP is a rigorous academic program built on the commitment, passion and hard work of students and educators. 

We increased the number of students taking AP classes from 230 in 2017, 265 in 2018 and 292 in 2019.  The number of exams have also increased from 402 to 606 from 2017 to 2019.  AP students with a sore of 3 or better (qualifying scores) has increased form 170 to 207. 

Success on an AP exam is defined as an exam score of 3 or higher, which represents the score point that research finds predictive of college success and college graduation. 

More than 90% of four-year colleges and universities in the United States grant students credit, placement or both on the basis of successful AP exam scores.
